Key West Art & Historical Society’s Music at Martello Continues with the 2nd Annual Key West Food Truck Festival

What could be better than a day-long concert in a field by the sea, complete with a bevy of food trucks for the choosing?  On Saturday, February 18 from 12pm-9pm, Key West Art & Historical Society’s “Music at Martello” program presents the 2nd Annual Key West Food Truck Festival, an event that will transform the Fort East Martello parade grounds into a family-friendly musical feast with the tasty delights of Key West’s top-notch food trucks and the grooving tunes of local and international acts.

“It’s a great excuse to get family and friends together in a relaxing, entertaining way,” says Society Operations Manager Shawn Cowles.

Be sure to come hungry—Key West Food Truck Fest founder and co-producer Clint Steckly will park his ever-tasty Triano’s Taco food truck on site along with Leila’s Latin, Baby Cakes, Beach Bites, Jimmy SnoCone Republic, King Of Racks BBQ, and other mobile-vendor faves.   The easy-drinking, Green Parrot Session Ale, with its clean, toasted-biscuit malt base and a mild spicy hop balance produced by Shipyard Brewing Co. is the signature craft-beer for the fest.

Performers Miguel Perez, The Copper Tones, J-Sneeze, Capes & Apple Pipes, and Fish out of Water will serve up their own individual flavors of musical beats throughout the day.

“Performing music outside is the best,” says local favorite Perez.   “And you can’t go wrong with music, food and beer!”

Bring your lawn chairs and picnic blankets, invite your friends, and come have a blast! This smorgasbord of great music and delicious food is fun for the whole family, complete with a kid’s zone, a cash bar, and free parking.  Friendly dogs on leashes are welcome, too.

Admission is only $5 at the door or advanced ticket purchase can be done at KWAHS.ORG; proceeds will benefit the Key West Art & Historical Society. The Music at Martello Program is sponsored in part by Green Parrot Beer & Shipyard Brewing Company.  For more information, contact Shawn Cowles at 305.295.6616 x 111.  Your Museums.  Your Community.  It Takes an Island.
