Key West Art & Historical Society hosts spectacular “Holiday Concert & Bazaar” at Custom House Museum
Locals and visitors alike can delight in festive holiday spirit at Key West Art & Historical Society’s “Holiday Concert & Bazaar” on Wednesday, December 18 from 5:00-9:00pm, located on the sweeping porch and promenade of the Custom House Museum, 281 Front Street. The immensely popular celebration, now in its fourth year, will feature some of Key West’s finest artisans, musicians and choirs, food and libations, free entrance to the museum and its two stories of exhibits, and a dazzling holiday light show magical vector projections on the face of the Custom House.
The opulent Bazaar offers shoppers a trove of unique gift options to choose from, including handcrafted jewelry, clothing, textiles, home décor, fine art and fine art photography, confections, stationary, with eggnog to lift the frazzled ‘final shopping days’ spirits and Santa on hand for last minute requests and ‘selfie’ photos. Adding to the holiday cheer, from 5:30 to 6:30pm Society members can also enjoy a VIP Member Lounge in the Bumpus Gallery and a 30% discount (normally 20% for members) in the Custom House Museum Store.
Shoppers can enjoy live holiday music from the Grateful Guitar Uke Gang, the Bahama Village Music Program’s Joyful Voices Choir and House of Pan Steel Pan Drums ensemble, The Music Room students and their “Remaining 10” big band, preview excerpts from Joe Tripp and Destiny Montgomery’s “Christmas Rocks” show, Mike the Bagpiper, the Blessed Community Choir, Larry Smith, Joe Dallas, Megan, singers Christine Cordone, Victoria Horne, Peter Diamond, Camille Toler, Michelle Dravis, Victoria Home, and performances from the Southernmost Shimmies and West African Kwanzaa dancers.
After dark and throughout the evening, “Conch 5 Studios” Key West High School Students will wow guests with a magical vector projections light show on the face of the Custom House, an annual crowd favorite.
