The Marathon library’s old branch will host a “Goodbye Week” April 26-30 welcoming the public to say goodbye to the old facility. During Goodbye Week, please consider helping library staff move by checking out up to 50 items from the collection and returning them to the NEW building when it opens in June.

KEY LARGO LIBRARY TO REOPEN THREE DAYS A WEEK FOR IN-PERSON VISITS

KEY LARGO, FL – The Key Largo branch of the Monroe County Library System will reopen for in-person visits three days a week starting Monday, April 19. The branch will be open Mondays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In the Upper Keys, the Islamorada branch is also open three days a week on Tuesdays from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Additional library updates:

  • The Key West and Big Pine Key branches are open Mondays through Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • The Marathon branch is moving soon! The former branch facility will remain closed to the public at this time but will host a “Goodbye Week” April 26-30 welcoming the public to say goodbye to the old facility. During Goodbye Week, please consider helping library staff move by checking out up to 50 items from the collection and returning them to the NEW building when it opens in June.
  • Curbside services, including checkouts and printing, will continue to be available six days a week at all branches.

The library system continues to follow Monroe County’s COVID-19 guidelines for your safety.

  • A facial covering is required and must be worn while inside any branch
  • Maintain social distancing
  • Limited building occupancy to allow for social distancing
  • Regular sanitization of the public spaces

As COVID-19 restrictions continue to relax, the Monroe County Public Library System will add to the available services and spaces.
