Just a Few Friends, a celebration honoring the legacy of Jimmy Buffett, successfully raised $17,000 to support Reef Relief and its mission to protect coral reefs through education and conservation.
What began as an intimate gathering to honor Buffett’s music, spirit, and philanthropic impact has grown into a vibrant movement that brought together participants from across the country. The multi-day event featured live music, local cuisine, community activities, and unique experiences that captured the essence of Buffett’s connection to Key West.
Funds were raised through the purchase of the official event badge, which offered attendees exclusive offers and perks throughout the celebration. The badge serves as a tribute to Buffett’s long history of philanthropy and his deep connection to ocean conservation.
Proceeds support Reef Relief, a Key West–based nonprofit dedicated to improving and protecting coral reef ecosystems through education and community engagement. The organization’s mission aligns closely with Buffett’s love for the ocean and commitment to supporting environmental initiatives.
The celebration will expand to five full days in 2026, taking place September 3–7 in Key West. For those who cannot attend in person, a virtual celebration will also be available, allowing Buffett fans and supporters worldwide to participate and contribute to the cause.
