Joe Garcia Wins FL26 Democratic Primary

Miami, FL— Tonight, former Congressman Joe Garcia won the democratic primary election in Florida’s 26th Congressional District. Garcia’s victory was the result of a robust grassroots campaign that focused on his long history of service to the residents of this community.

“Tonight, I am very grateful to the people of South Florida, said Joe Garcia, candidate for Florida’s 26th Congressional District. “We set out to earn the votes of this community by talking about the issues that matter to everyday families and I’m honored to have earned their support.”

In Congress, Garcia delivered for his district. He successfully cut student loan rates, which have since dropped to their lowest point in 10 years. And when Republicans tried to take away healthcare coverage from millions of hardworking Americans, Garcia was there to defend and improve Obamacare. Garcia was also an advocate for clean water, securing $200 million for everglades restoration and an additional $2 million in funding for water quality improvements in the Florida Keys.
