“While tonight did not produce the results we hoped for, I’m proud of our campaign’s work and am thankful to the hundreds of incredible people who took part in our efforts. Since the very beginning of my campaign, we focused on the issues that affect the families that live in this great community—it’s what I have done my entire life and what I did in Congress. I have called Carlos Curbelo to congratulate him, and expressed my hope that he’ll work for every member of this community in his actions in Washington. My work helping South Floridians is never done, so I will continue seeking new ways to do so.”
