Interactive Experiences, Exclusive Items, and More Available in Dolphin Research Center DolFun Online Auction

Grassy Key, FL — The pandemic has forced many organizations to creatively rethink regular plans, and Dolphin Research Center in the Florida Keys is no exception. The nonprofit dolphin and sea lion facility is launching a DolFun online auction featuring interactive experiences not usually available to the public, beautiful artwork, resort accommodations, jewelry, and much more. Some of the most popular offerings include a wide variety of keepsakes painted by the dolphins themselves! The auction will raise funds to support the center’s care and home for 25 dolphins and four California sea lions, their manatee rescue efforts, and the other important aspects of their research and education mission. Dolphin fans from all over the world will be able to bid at the online auction site beginning Friday, November 6th through mid-day of Sunday, November 15th.  More information, as well as the link to the auction site, is available at www.dolphins.org/membership_and_donations.

Dolphin Research Center is a nonprofit organization that has provided sanctuary and a forever home to marine mammals since 1984. The center is located on the Overseas Highway at mile marker 59, Grassy Key and is open daily to visitors from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. DRC presents narrated behavior sessions with the animals in their family and offers interactive programs throughout the day.
