In-person SEMINAR for FAMILY and FRIENDS of people with a mental illness

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) Miami-Dade in the Florida Keys is offering a free, in-person SEMINAR for FAMILY and FRIENDS of people with a mental illness at Unity of the Keys Spiritual Center, 1011 Virginia St., Key West on Saturday, Nov. 6 from 9 a.m. – 1 PM.  Space is limited.  Call, text or email Sherry at 305-304-3039 or [email protected] for more information or to PRE-REGISTER (required) by Nov. 2.

This seminar developed by NAMI and led by trained facilitators will cover diagnoses, treatment, recovery, communication strategies, crisis preparation and community resources.  Past participants claim, “ Programs like this really reduce the stigma and fear surrounding talking about mental health conditions.  I felt supported and understood.”
