HEALTH DEPARTMENT HOSTS “HEALTH TO YOU” EVENT 

(Monroe County, Fla.) — On Friday, March 3, 2023, the Florida Department of Health in Monroe County (DOH-Monroe) hosted it’s first “Health To You” event at Bernstein Park on Stock Island along with community partners Epilepsy Alliance Florida, AHEC and Florida Keys SPCA to provide free healthcare services and education. Approximately 50 residents participated and received free vaccines, hepatitis and HIV testing, bike helmets, and consultative services in family planning, refugee health, WIC and healthy start services.  DOH-Monroe was pleased with the turnout at the event and will be planning another “Health To You” community event in the near future.  To learn more, visit https://monroe.floridahealth.gov.
