HEALTH DEPARTMENT APPOINTS CURL TO TUBERCULOSIS PROGRAM MANAGER

(Monroe County, Fla) – The Florida Department of Health in Monroe County (DOH-Monroe) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jackie Curl, RN to Tuberculosis Program Manager.

In her role as Tuberculosis Program Manager Curl ensures DOH-Monroe is providing comprehensive Tuberculosis services including diagnosis, effective and timely treatment, and case management at all three DOH-Monroe clinic locations

“Jackie Curl is a great addition to the DOH-Monroe team and her experiences and skills are a perfect fit for the important role of Tuberculosis Program Manager,” said DOH-Monroe Administrator and Health Officer Dr. Carla Fry, PhD, MSN, RN.  “Jackie is already off to a great start in her role and already doing great work for our community.”

Curl has spent most of her nursing career working in assisted living and home care services.  She has also worked in school health and nurse management roles.  Throughout her career she has worked in communities, and she enjoys bringing health care and health information to people who are isolated and disadvantaged. This love of working with people in and around their homes is well suited for her current role, which focus is primarily on the refugee population.

November 18, 2022 was her first day working at DOH-Monroe.
