Health Department Administrator Speaks at NACCHO Preparedness Summit

Bob Eadie, JD, Health Officer and Administrator for the Florida Department of Health in Monroe County presented at the 2018 NACCHO Preparedness Summit in Atlanta Georgia on April 17.  This year’s summit focused on “Strengthening National Health Security: Mastering Ordinary Responses, Building Resilience for Extraordinary Events.” Eadie, who spoke during the opening plenary at the summit, shared with the over 1,700 diverse preparedness professionals, lessons learned from Hurricane Irma and the 2009 Dengue Outbreak that affected the Florida Keys.  The Preparedness Summit is the first and longest-running national conference on public health preparedness.
