The Community Foundation of the Florida Keys (CFFK) is now accepting applications for its 2020 Grant Program to support projects and services to benefit residents and visitors throughout the Florida Keys. The deadline to apply is March 10th and application forms are available at cffk.org

The Community Foundation will award grants, up to $10,000 each, to 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofits in Monroe County for programs in all areas including arts and culture, education, environment, health and human services, animal welfare, and more. Long-term recovery initiatives following Hurricane Irma will also be considered for funding. CFFK is using a new, easy-to-follow online grant program this year which will simplify the application process for organizations. All proposals and required materials must be received online by the deadline date to be eligible. CFFK’s Grant Committee will review and select applications for funding.

“Through the generosity of our donors and partners, we’re able to support programs that will benefit the entire Florida Keys community, provide critical services to those in need, offer assistance to children and families, and support unique collaborations,” said Jennifer McComb, President and CEO of CFFK. “We have incredible nonprofits in the Keys and we hope these grants will provide the needed boost to make programs happen that might not otherwise be available.”

The competitive grant program is funded through generous donations to the Future Fund at CFFK, as well as CFFK Donor Funds, including the Jack Baron Visual Grant Fund, the Florence Fox-Loeb Key West Music and Arts Fund, the Jones-DelMonte Endowment, the Emily Boyd Lowe Music Endowment, the William C. Euler, Jr. and Andrew F. Oates, Jr. Fund, the Jean Olson Memorial Scholarship Fund, and the Bob and Martha Sauer Memorial Endowment. Grants for long-term recovery initiatives following Hurricane Irma will be supported from the Landau Family Hurricane Relief Fund for the Upper Keys at CFFK and the Florida Keys Emergency Relief Fund.
