Grant deadlines approaching –Artists in Schools & Special Project Grants Online Applications due November 30th

The Florida Keys Council of the Arts invites Monroe County teaching artists and classroom teachers to apply for the Artists in Schools Grant program for the Spring Semester. The online application is available and due on November 30th at: www.keysarts.com.

The program funds teaching artists in the performing, visual, literary or historical arts to bring projects into the classroom. Teachers and teaching artists are encouraged to collaborate on creative projects together to enhance the existing curriculum, or to teach a new topic using the ARTS. All Monroe County public and private schools, as well as other organizations that serve children ages 5-18, are eligible to apply. Artist in Schools grants are up to $2,000.

Also available is the Special Project Grant, a funding opportunity of up to $2,000 for a Special Project created by an individual Monroe County artist or non-profit arts organization. The online application is available and due on November 30th at: www.keysarts.com.
