Gage Honored for 30 Years of Service

City Manager Jim Scholl, during Tuesday’s City Commission meeting, commended Customer Service Supervisor Toni Gage for her 30 years of service to the City of Key West.

“That’s an amazing accomplishment,” he said, “and she’s not done yet.”

Gage started with the City, just two weeks after graduating high school, as a secretary in the Building Department. She moved around to finance and community services, where she was promoted to a customer service supervisor in 2003. In 2010, she moved to the Parking Department, where she remains today.

When accepting the plaque, Gage said “I’ll save all the mushy stuff for my retirement speech.”

During her 30 years of service, she married and raised two beautiful daughters. She said she had the good fortune to have two families – the relatives that love her, and her “City family.”
