Fundraising Expert Alex Counts to Speak to Nonprofits on March 25
The Community Foundation of the Florida Keys is hosting “Raising Big Dollars: Learn Fundraising Techniques for your Nonprofit” in the Backstage Listening Room of the Key West Theater on Friday, March 25 from 10-11:30 a.m.
Nationally known fundraising expert Alex Counts, who has helped raise over $300 million for philanthropic causes, will lead the presentation. Alex will share successful techniques that he has mastered in over 25 years as a fundraiser.

Author of “When in Doubt, Ask for More” and “Changing the World Without Losing Your Mind: Leadership Lessons from Three Decades of Social Entrepreneurship,” Alex has written numerous articles in the Stanford Social Innovation Review, The Washington Post, and The Chronicle of Philanthropy.
Alex founded Grameen Foundation and became its president and CEO in 1997. After a successful career in the nonprofit sector, Counts is now an independent consultant to nonprofit organizations and a professor at the School of Public Policy at the University of Maryland College Park, and an affiliated faculty of its Do Good Institute.
