Full Circle – Old Island Restoration Foundation Welcomes Executive Director
OIRF Board President Nance Frank is pleased to announce the recent appointment of John C. Giuliano as Executive Director. “John has dedicated his life and career to the not-for profit sector since graduating from Arizona State University in 1989. He has been an Executive Director (including a past ED of OIRF), frontline fundraiser in all aspects of development and cause-related marketing in New York City and here in Key West”, said Frank.
While in New York, John raised funds for The Central Park Conservancy and was the first Director of Development and Marketing for The New York Pops at Carnegie Hall, among other roles in philanthropy. Frank continued, “John moved to Key West in 2003 to assume the role of Development Director at KWAHS and then came to OIRF as Executive Director. He brings a wealth of institutional knowledge and decades-long relationships with him to this position. He truly cares about Key West and the mission of OIRF and The Oldest House & Garden Museum.”
Most recently, John has been working as a senior philanthropic services and non-profit executive recruitment consultant. He has been a guest lecturer at NYU School of Professional Studies, George H. Heyman, Jr. Program for Philanthropy and presented on numerous fundraising topics for the Association of Fundraising Professionals. During his first tenure at OIRF, he and the board received a Proclamation from the city for their restoration and programmatic accomplishments at The Oldest House and Gardens.
John resides in Old Town with his famous Conch, Gallagher Golden Retriever: Leo. John, is an Honorary Conch and that status was bestowed upon him by his dear friend, the late Hon. Wilhelmina Harvey, County Mayor Emeritus. John added, “Being back at OIRF and caring for The Oldest House & Garden Museum has brought me full-circle and I am home again.”
