The Friends of the Key West Library will hold the December Book Sale outside in the Library Palm Garden at 700 Fleming Street, on Saturday, December 3, 2022, from 10am-1pm. All are welcome. We offer a wide selection of current books for adults and children. Cash or credit cards will be accepted. Most books are priced at $1, although for this sale, we have a particularly nice selection of art books suitable for holiday gifts and priced in the $10-20 range.
In celebration of the Friends’ 50th Anniversary year, those who join as a new member of the Friends of the Key West Library for $25 or more, will receive one book free. Every dollar of your membership donation goes directly to the library, so please join!
The Friends’ book sales are one of the major fundraising activities of the organization. The Friends of the Key West Library makes a $50,000 donation to the library annually to support special library programs. These include the new Creativity Commons makerspace, adult crafting classes, Book Club in a Bag, Cafe Con Libros author series, Summer Reading Club incentives for children, and STEAM Science Kits.
