Florida man charged with shooting empty police patrol cars

NAPLES, Fla. (AP) — A Florida man is in jail after Collier County’s sheriff’s deputies say he shot two unoccupied patrol cars.

The patrol cars were in adjacent parking lots Saturday near a Naples shopping and dining complex. Deputies outside a bar said they heard gunshots around 1:30 a.m. and then found a single bullet hole in each of the two cars.

They later arrested 22-year-old Stefan Morales and charged him with possession of a concealed firearm and shooting into an unoccupied vehicle.

It was not immediately known if Morales had an attorney.
