Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary invites public to attend Advisory Council meeting in Marathon

Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council will meet at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, June 17, in Marathon, Florida. The council will receive updates on the current status of the Restoration Blueprint, as well as the upcoming Adaptive Management Working Group, and consider a resolution of support for sanctuary programs. Sanctuary staff will provide updates on recent seagrass and coral restoration projects, as well as plans for summer field work. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Monroe County derelict vessel removal program will also present their recent work in removing derelict vessels from sanctuary waters. A public comment opportunity will be offered at approximately 12:30 p.m.
