Florida Keys Emergency Relief Fund at CFFK for Hurricane Irma
The Community Foundation of the Florida Keys has activated The Florida Keys Emergency Relief Fund to provide relief and recovery to residents of the Florida Keys affected by Hurricane Irma. Working with local nonprofits and faith-based groups, funds will be distributed to help residents get their lives and homes back in order by helping people with repairs, transportation needs, rent, medical supplies and care, child care, etc. Some of the areas of the Keys were hit harder than others; donations may be designated to help a specific ‘area’ of the Keys; i.e., Lower, Middle, or Upper Keys, although they cannot be designated to a specific individual or business. Donations may be made online at cffk.org. 100% of all donations will go directly to help Keys residents.
CFFK coordinated the largest disaster recovery initiative in the history of the Florida Keys after Hurricane Wilma in 2005. During that time with the generosity of many people and businesses, we were able to raise and distribute $1.3 million in aid to thousands of middle and lower Keys residents. Now we are ramping up our efforts for Hurricane Irma relief and recovery. Please help us.
