Florida Keys Coronavirus Cases

The latest report from the Florida Department of Health shows there are 74 new cases today in Monroe County, including 42 more in Key West, 8 in Key Largo, 7 in Marathon, 3 in Islamorada, 3 in Stock Island, 8 as Missing City, and 1 in each of the following — Summerland Key, Big Pine Key, and Non-FL Resident.

Monroe County: 544 total cases

Residents: 526

Non-residents: 18

A majority of the infections are community acquired. Therefore, it is critical to wear a mask, avoid crowds, social distance, and hand wash frequently.

Key Largo: 90

Tavernier: 60

Marathon: 60

Islamorada: 28

Cudjoe Key: 2

Sugarloaf: 2

Stock Island: 8

Key Colony Beach: 2

The Health Department officially confirms new cases. Cases are a total count of all laboratory-confirmed cases. This number does not represent the current number of COVID-19 positive persons. At this time, the FDOH is unable to determine the number of recoveries from COVID-19. Those who do recover from the virus may have additional unknown health effects. Monroe County posts this Florida Department of Health information as a courtesy to inform residents.
