Florida Association of Counties Selects Commissioner Carruthers as 2017 Presidential Advocate

TALLAHASSEE, FL – The Florida Association of Counties (FAC) has selected Monroe County Commissioner Heather Carruthers as a 2017 Presidential Advocate.

This special recognition is bestowed upon county commissioners who have shown exceptional leadership in partnering with FAC during the 2017 session to advance the counties’ legislative agenda.

“We are honored to recognize you for your strong commitment to address important local government issues during the 2017 Legislative Session,” Davin J. Suggs, FAC’s Director of Public Policy, said in a letter. “Your dedication to improve and maintain a high quality of life for all Floridians and to strengthen public policy is especially appreciated.”

Carruthers will be recognized as a 2017 Presidential Advocate during FAC’s Annual Conference & Educational Exposition’s Awards Luncheon on June 28 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center.
