FKCC’s Keys Chorale Performs Holiday Concert

KEY WEST, FL, November 21, 2016—Florida Keys Community College invites the community to ring in the holiday season with a outdoor concert by the Keys Chorale on Friday, December 2 at 7 p.m. on the Key West Campus.  Entitled “Holiday Harmonies,” the concert will showcase the talented voices of and festive performances by the students in the College’s “Mixed Community Chorus” class.  The concert is free; however, contributions to support the program are much appreciated.

Under the direction of Professor James Cutty, the concert will feature a variety of holiday music.  Special guest appearances include Santa Claus, Frosty the Snowman, and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.  All are welcome to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and snacks.  Seasonal treats will also be for sale with proceeds to benefit FKCC’s Residence Hall Association.

Those interested in performing in the Chorale can register for the “Mixed Community Chorus” course in the spring semester beginning January 6.  “Mixed Community Chorus,” which can be taken as a college credit or non-credit course, brings students together as a community of singers to practice a selection of works from the vast, historical repertory of choral literature from all periods.  The course will culminate with a spring concert performance.  For more information about registering for the credit or non-credit course, call 305-296-9081 or visit www.fkcc.edu.
