FKCC Recognizes Outstanding Employees

KEY WEST, FL, May 23, 2019— Florida Keys Community College recognized exemplary employees at its annual employee appreciation luncheon on May 15.  “Employee of the Year” honors, as voted by FKCC employees, went to Hillary Castillo-Montiel, Enrollment Services Specialist, Rebekah Hill, Student Activities Director, and Matthew Wells, Maintenance Specialist.

College President Dr. Jonathan Gueverra bestowed the President’s Employee Award to Megan Perez, Director of Community Engagement and Testing, and Amber Ernst-Leonard, Director of Marketing and Public Relations.

FKCC Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Brittany Snyder presented the “Adjunct Faculty of the Year” to Margaret Lee, who teaches in the Engineering Technology program.

Dr. Gueverra also thanked retiring professors Dr. Alex Brylske, marine science, Dr. Bob Bullis, marine science, Robert Lenich, math, and Sharon Farrell, history, for their commitment and contributions to student success.
