FKCC Invites New Students to “Fast Track to Fall”

$100 Kick-Starter Scholarships; Free Application

KEY WEST, FL, June 29, 2016—Florida Keys Community College is holding three “Fast Track to Fall Enrollment Expos” to help new students quickly get on the pathway toward their academic goals this fall semester, which begins August 19. The Fast Track to Fall events will provide essential information about degree and certificate options as well as financial aid and payment plans. New students will have their application fee waived, a savings of $30, and receive a $100 Kick-Starter Scholarship.

The Fast Track to Fall events will be held:

  • Tuesday, July 12 at 6 p.m. at the Key West Campus
  • Wednesday, July 27 at 6 p.m. at the Upper Keys Center in Tavernier
  • Saturday, July 30 at 10 a.m. at the Key West Campus

“Classes begin sooner than many people realize, but there is still time to become an FKCC student this fall,” said Jeanna Garrido, FKCC Recruiter. “We are here to assist any student—new or returning—to develop a personal academic plan. We will help them select a degree, register for courses, order their books, explore financial aid options, and have them in a mindset to be successful on day one of classes.”

Prospective students are encouraged to bring the following items, if readily available, to further expedite the admissions process:

  • Transcripts (college and high school)
  • Two forms of proof of Florida residency
  • Official test scores (SAT, ACT, and/or PERT)
