Florida Keys – January 30, 2020 – Governor Ron DeSantis held a press conference today at the Florida Keys Aqueduct Authority’s Kermit H. Lewin Reverse Osmosis Facility on Stock Island.  The facility, which can provide up to two million gallons of water a day, was essential in expediting recovery in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma. The aging facility, however, suffered storm damage and is now in need of significant repairs to ensure it is capable of providing a reliable water supply during emergency events.
