First State Bank’s Hamilton Celebrates 15 Years

First State Bank of the Florida Keys congratulates Peggy Hamilton, Assistant Vice President, Corporate Administration Officer on her fifteenth year with the Bank.

Hamilton joined First State Bank in 2002 as the Operations Administrative Assistant in the Boulevard Office.  She was promoted to Executive Administrative Assistant in the Executive Office later that year, to Executive Assistant to the President in 2006, to Corporate Administrative Officer in 2014, and to Assistant Vice President in 2017.

“Peggy meets and exceeds the changing demands of the President, Board Members, and Executive Management,” said Karen Sharp, President and CEO.  “She is instrumental in ensuring that the Bank continues to move forward and is relevant, and can be counted on to make valuable contributions toward whatever she’s asked to do.”

Prior to joining First State Bank, Hamilton worked for the Syracuse City School District in Syracuse, NY in several roles, including community assistant, instructional technology specialist and technology assistant. She received her teaching assistant certification from Onondaga Community College and has also studied advanced HTML and advanced Internet integration.
