FIRM Writes Property Insurance Guide
Key West, Florida—{January 19, 2017} Fair Insurance Rates in Monroe (FIRM), is proud to release a property insurance guide for property owners in Monroe County. This insurance guide was designed by FIRM to be a general aid to consumers in making choices about property insurance in Monroe County.
The guide provides definitions and answers to many frequently asked questions and contact information for local, state and federal agencies. FIRM hopes that this guide will assist property owners in making informed decisions when dealing with the complicated property and flood insurance companies. The guide may be found on FIRM’s website, firmkeys.org, in the “Resources” section. The document is not intended to be a substitute for formal legal or regulatory advice provided by attorneys or insurance agents, or to advise on any individual choice or claim.
FIRM is a grassroots organization formed in 2006 to fight for fair property insurance rates for property owners and residents of Monroe County, Florida (Florida Keys). Through advocacy and community outreach, FIRM contributes to housing affordability and helps residents remain and prosper in our community.
