Eco-Discovery Center Nears Reopening – Volunteers Sought for National Public Lands Day

Volunteer and celebrate National Public Lands Day with Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary!  Join us Friday, September 23, 2022 from 9-11 a.m. to revive the Eco-Discovery Center’s gardens.  In preparation for reopening we will be weeding, pruning and removing invasive species that have taken root on center grounds during closure.  All are welcome to join.  Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Register to volunteer by contacting Volunteer Coordinator Liz Trueblood ([email protected]) or EDC Manager Emily Kovacs ([email protected]).  Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring a refillable water bottle.  Volunteers will have the opportunity to preview the newly renovated EDC before it opens.
