Earth Day Jam with That Hippie Band at the Key West Theater
The Key West Theater will celebrate Earth Day with a fugitive band of Hippies from the 1960s that have been hiding out and performing in Key West. They all used to have long hair, smoked weed, and could play any song anyone could remember from the 60s. The band motto is “If someone knows part of a song, we’ll follow them to the gates of hell”.
Band Leader Gary Hempsey along with Pete Jarvis, Russ Scaveli, Emily Springsteen, Tom Conger, Will Hoppey, Terry Wetmore and Greg Shanley will help you remember all those songs from Age of Aquarius. The event will be a semi-annual reunion of band musicians from their past. Plenty of old favorites from the Grateful Dead, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Jefferson Starship, maybe even some Crosby, Stills, & Nash will be rediscovered. Bring your good vibes harmony and understanding, sympathy and trust abounding, and peace will guide the planets and love will steer the stars.  Join the global celebration of the 48th Earth Day – a day ahead of time.
The concert is on Saturday, April 21st at 8pm and tickets on sale now at thekeywesttheater.com or visiting their box office at 512 Eaton Street day of show.
