Since I last explained that the Dems would of course win back the House and Senate next year, a lot has happened: bombing Iran, arresting Maduro,  NOT getting a peace agreement in Ukraine,  ICE killing a woman in her car in Minneapolis, record stock market highs, lower gas prices, huge capital investment in AI..

News flash: none of it matters.  Under my indubitable theory that in our internet-fueled Life-of-Rage Times, all that matters in elections is who hates the other guy more.  In the off year, the losers have much more rage at the winning party because, well, they LOST.  And they have a sitting winner to hate.  Reds could hate Kamala enough to go vote for Trump, but Kamala is no longer a target, while the Trump-hating Blues have an even bigger target to aim at.

Look at the multi-million No Kings marchers–do you think any of these people will NOT go and vote?  And remember Obama’s epic first two years–passed Obamacare, killed the recession, won the Nobel Peace Prize, etc–and of the 68 million people who voted him in, only 38 million bothered to vote for his Blue party in 2010, causing giant losses in Congress.

Meanwhile, Reds don’t know whom to hate.  Kamala’s gone.  Mamdani is a bright target, but he’s just one city mayor, and, oddly, Trump likes him.  Then, perversely, MAGA’s darling Marjory Taylor Green is now tops on Trump’s hate list.

So let pundits gush over Affordability and the Fate of Democracy, but none of it matters.  We vote solely on tribal loyalty, and only when we are pissed off enough at the other side. I just want  to stay on the record for this easy call.
