COVID-19 Vaccine Walk-Ins Not Allowed

For the safety of our staff and clients, please do not come to any of the Florida Department of Health in Monroe County (DOH-Monroe) locations without an appointment for services, including COVID-19 vaccines. The vaccine will not be provided to anyone without an appointment.  As expected, congregating, including outside of these health department facilities, increases the opportunity for person-to-person transmission of the virus.

On Tuesday, DOH-Monroe provided a small number of vaccines to high risk individuals who are 65 years and older.  The limited amount of vaccines we currently have of just 1,300 are reserved for those healthcare professionals with direct patient contact and special needs persons 65 years of age and over with appointments.

We continue to ask for everyone’s patience and cooperation as our phone lines have become jammed and emails continue to come in to all department staff from residents asking for this vaccine.  We anticipate receiving more vaccines in the near future.  The website and hotline to register will be ready by next week.
