A May workshop, also at the Douglass Gym, provided good input for the community’s vision of the affordable housing project on the City’s 3.2 acres bordering Bahama Village.
Community Input Needed in Affordable Housing Workshop
The City of Key West is holding an Affordable Housing Workshop on Thursday, September 9th from 6-8 p.m. at the Douglass Gym, 111 Olivia Street. This meeting is to follow up with the community after the May workshop and finalize the next steps on determining the future of the 3.2 acres between the Truman Waterfront Park and Bahama Village. This is an opportunity to meet with City leaders to provide community input.
Neighbors are strongly urged to participate. The City and your elected officials want to know how future development of the site will affect residents. The time and location of this workshop have been chosen to make it easy for the community to attend.
