CJ Groth photo featured on Culture Magazine cover

“Shrimp Boats in Port” by Key West photographer Connie “CJ” Groth has been chosen as the cover image for the 2019 Culture Magazine.
The spectacular photo, captured by CJ at the shrimp docks on Stock Island in the lower Keys, was selected for the top honor from among more than 175 submissions. It is only the second time in the history of the magazine that a photograph has been chosen for the cover.
CJ has created a limited edition of the image reproduced in a layered process called “face-mounted acrylic” which amplifies the photo’s luminosity, depth, and detail. The limited edition may be seen at the elegant new gallery at 714 Duval St. called Art on Duval Key West, A Procaccini Gallery.
The artwork itself can be hung frameless for a more contemporary look, or traditionally framed. Some collectors are choosing frames made out of lobster traps to continue the nautical theme.
