City Honors Centenarian

Mayor Teri Johnston and the Key West City Commission this week commended Helen Thomas Koger for her upcoming 100th birthday.

Koger was born in Applegate, Michigan and raised on the east side of Detroit. She married her neighbor Seabring Koger in 1942 and worked at Burroughs Corporation in Detroit from 1958 and retired in 1985.

Koger moved to Key West in 2004 and became an active member of the Key West Garden Club.

Helen Thomas Koger will be 100 years old on March 20th.
