Ciao for now  to Melody Cooper

International performer and KW legend Melody Cooper  wraps up 40 plus years of entertaining in Key West as she moves away to Asheville NC.  Come lift a glass and wish her ciao for now on Wed Sept 7, 8:30-11:30 at the Little Room Jazz Club , 821 Duval St. Joining her will be saxman, multi instrumentalist and fab friend Marty Stonely.

Originally from NYC, Melody has been part of the Key West jazz scene since the 80s.She has sang and played piano across many continents and in every club and theater in town!   She also was an original member and spent 10 years as the soulful redhead Krissy in The Fabulous Spectrelles. And Melody was well known for the last 15 years as the pianist/vocalist in The Paradise Big Band.

Reuniting with her early classical training, Melody also was a founding member of the Bach to Bossa Nova chamber ensemble and has been a soprano soloist with the Keys Chorale, KW Pops, Island Opera Theater, Masterwork Oratorio Chorale and yearly Messiah concerts.

A true fusion artist Melody most recently has been studying and performing in Spain and in a series of concerts in the keys called Spanish Rhapsody.

Expect an eclectic mix of jazz, Latin and original music from the swingin songbird herself, Melody Cooper and pal Marty Stonely on Wed Sept 7 starting at 8:30 at the Little Room Jazz Club. . Bring your ax and join the fun!
