CFK to debut new graduation attire at Fall Commencement Ceremony

KEY WEST, FL, December 6, 2021— The College of the Florida Keys will hold its sixty-third Commencement Exercises for the fall class of 2021 on Tuesday, December 14 at 4:30 p.m. in the Tennessee Williams Theatre on the Key West Campus. Thirty-two graduates will don new blue and orange graduation attire to receive their diplomas. The College expects to award a combined total of 79 credentials, including bachelor’s degrees, associate degrees, and certificates, to the fall class of 2021.

The graduation ceremony will be streamed live to reach a broader audience on the College’s Facebook page at facebook.com/TheCollegeoftheFloridaKeys.

Captain Adam Chamie, the Commander of Coast Guard Sector Key West, will deliver the Keynote Address to the class. Graduate Laurana “Ronneh” Danet, who earned a Bachelor in Applied Science in Supervision and Management, will present the Student Address to her fellow graduates.

Leading up to Commencement, the College will hold a Nursing ceremony on December 13 at its Upper Keys Center for 17 students who completed their Associate of Science in Nursing this fall semester. Upon passing the national NCLEX-RN licensure exam, each will become a registered nurse.
