Announcing the winners of the Robert Frost Poetry Contest for Kids and Teens

In celebration of National Poetry Month in April, and Robert Frost (1874-1963), The Studios of Key West hosted this contest. Out of hundreds of entries from Monroe County schools, represented by students from Key Largo to Key West, three top prizes and three honorable mentions were awarded in each category, from ages 6-15. The winners, teen category: First Place Gabriella Ramsingh (13), Second Place Madeline Lupi (15), Third Place Amalia Strunk (14); Honorable mentions, teen category: Lily Kaufman (13), Sia Singh (13), Kai Guth (13).

The winners, kids category: First Place Vida Pereira (12), Second Place Alikham Magauiya (6), Third Place Jasmine Vega-Gomez (12); honorable mentions, kids category: Molly McKnight (12), Elena Pichardo (12), Kayla Michelle Riche (8).

Cash prizes for the winners are as follows: $150 for first place, $100 for second place, and $50 for third place, in each age category. Prizes and certificates will be mailed to the winners and they will be recognized at an online reception on June 20, from 1-2pm.
