American Association of University Women Support FKCC Students

KEY WEST, FL, February 24, 2017— Members of the Key West-Lower Keys branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) met with the Florida Keys Community College student who earned their scholarship this past year.  The local AAUW Co-President Jackie Sanchez arranged the meeting at the Key West Campus yesterday to congratulate Hannah Goodman.  Goodman is earning an Associate in Science in Marine Environmental Technology at FKCC.

The AAUW offers a $1,000 scholarship each spring to a female FKCC student who excels academically, needs financial assistance, and is a part of the RAVE program.  RAVE, which stands for “renewing and advancing through vocational education,” supports special populations of students with disadvantages.

For more information about scholarship opportunities available at FKCC, visit the College’s website at www.fkcc.edu.
