ABBA-After Forty Years We’re Back Listening Party

Key West:  Many people remember the ‘80s when the popular Swedish Dance Group AABA ruled the radio airwaves with their many hits like “Dancing Queen”, “Fernando,” and The Winner Takes It all.” Later their “Mama Mia” was the foundation of both a popular film and Broadway stage musical. Now, after an absence from the World Stage of 40 years, ABBA is reuniting (their ages now in their 70s) to come out with a new album Voyage. In advance they have released a dance tune “Don’t Shut Me Down” that has moved up to number one in many countries of the world.

The Key West Business Guild, The Sister Season Fund” and 93.7 NRG Radio have teamed up with the Aquaplex Side Bar at 504 Angela Street in Key West to present a listening party hearing the new  ABBA album on the club’s state of the art sound system from 6-7PM on the Friday, November 5, the date of the world wide release. James from 93.7 NRG radio will be the host. There will be food nibblies and a cash bar, but no admission fee.

“We just want an evening of good fellowship” states Jules Hanson, Executive Director of the Sister Season Fund and Kevin Theriault, ED of the Key West Business Guild. A preview of the album reveals that, despite the forty year difference, the group sounds just as great as ever.

Please join us on the evening of November 5 from 6-7 PM at the Aquaplex Side Bar with your friends to welcome this fabulous group back.
