KEY WEST, Fla. (April 18, 2025) – Nationally acclaimed Cher impersonator Michael Dean as Cher will make his Key West debut during a one-night-only Key West Pride fundraiser at The Birdcage Cabaret at Aquaplex Key West. The exclusive show, hosted and produced by Christopher Peterson, and featuring The Aquanettes, will take place on Tuesday, June 3, at 8 p.m. to benefit Key West Pride.

In celebration of Pride Month, the evening will bring the community together for an unforgettable night of entertainment, all while raising funds for a great cause. Guests will enjoy high energy drag performances, cocktails and a raffle, with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Key West Pride.

Key West Pride, to be held June 22 – 29, offers a series of community events including a street fair and parade that all carry the theme of “Still Rising.” The celebration will prominently honor the history of the LGBTQ+ community, highlighting the resilience of the LGBTQ+ movement while promoting the island’s inclusive ethos of “One Human Family.”

“Pride Month brings a lot of opportunities for us to come together, and stand united a community,” said Rob Doughtery, Executive Director of the Key West Business Guild. “We’re excited for a series of month-long activities like this special fundraiser at Aquaplex Key West and we invite our island community and visitors to come and be part of the celebration.”

The night’s highlight will be a featured Key West debut performance by Michael Dean as Cher, a leading Cher impersonator, who has gained a solid reputation for impersonating the legendary singer/actor. Michael Dean as Cher has entertained audiences nationwide, with appearances at venues including Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Lips Fort Lauderdale/Atlanta/Chicago and Oscar’s Cabaret in Palm Springs. Known for his spot-on impersonation and passion for Cher’s magic, his performance is sure to be a standout moment of the evening.
