Public Meeting Cover Composting Pilot Program

The City of Key West Utilities Department is hosting an information session to share with the public the result of a composting pilot project that could benefit the community.

The meeting will be Thursday, August 11^th from 5:30 to 7:30 in the Commission Chambers at City Hall, 1300 White St.

Residents are urged to come and discover the benefits for the entire community of a biosolids and yard waste composting facility. You’ll hear about the results of the pilot project as well as the history of composting biosolids in Florida and around the nation.
