City Takes First Step Toward Strategic Plan

The City of Key West took a strong step toward strategic planning on Wednesday when 13 respondents attended a mandatory pre-bid meeting. The group came in response to a request for proposals seeking a consultant or firm to guide the City in developing a comprehensive strategic plan.

This important planning process will, over the next several months, provide the community, the City Commission, and all Key West stakeholders ample opportunity to be part of the long-range vision of the city.

The planning process will result in a comprehensive strategic plan that presents the planning process, the research, the analysis, opportunities and strategies along with an implementation plan that will guide the City of Key West for the next three to five years.

The responses to this bid will likely show a variety of perspectives, models, and approaches available to develop a strategic planning document.

Only those present at this week’s meeting are eligible to submit proposals, which are due by 3 p.m. on March 25th.
