That’s when MEN were MEN and had a pair, but not today. MEN let THEM take over and look what we got. Sissies ruling, X genes taking over, Bent everything and racial hate replacing logical wars. We ain’t gunna make it!
What we seem to be up against now is a generation of millennials who, like an ant colony, seek socialism to feel safe, secure and part of a whole.
Self reliance is no longer an attribute. It’s being anti-social.
The two diametrically opposed lifestyles are not easily reconcilable, especially since money seems to flow from donors afar who forcefully appear to sponsor socialism at the expense of our constitutional republic.
The very sovereignty of the US as a legal tender is at stake. Make no mistake about that.
My only hope is that we will not fall prey to the machinations of foreign rulers who don’t truly have our welfare at heart.
“Perhaps a bit like our current state, the early 1940’s was a huge challenge of values but, like this wonderful film: love, courage, nobility and intelligence carried the day against great odds.”
Ah yes, this describes the situation of Vichy France. It was tolerable to have others run your life.
Like the past administration and the USA, a huge challenge of values which led to no values…open borders, socialism, letting other nations/UN dictate what we should do, and anything goes.
Then the people of ‘love, courage, nobility and intelligence’ rose up to overthrow the oppressors by electing Pres Trump. MAGA happened. Heck they even understood the Electoral College.
Ah the good ole days of Vichy France…you know the nation that surrendered and collaborated because ‘life was good’. A nation that thought more about their art and architecture being destroyed than fighting for their liberty. Quoting “Rick Blaine: We’ll always have Paris.”
Like the recent USA under the past administration that had all arms of the government pushing their agenda. With many collaborators willing to follow.
Yes it was the good ole days when the enemy occupiers knew that the population either loved them or tolerated them.
How did that work out for a people that wouldn’t fight for their liberty or country….at least until someone else had to shed their blood to liberate them. Only 3 years later, did they arise in “glory” to liberate themselves when it was a sure thing.
Compare this to the other countries that preferred to die, have their nations destroyed but liberty was worth the effort.
Looks like some people understood history and overthrew the oppressors with the past election.
Yet the collaborators wish for the good ole days. Heck there was even an attempted coup by elements of the FBI, CIA and DOJ to undo the change.
