Public help sought in theft case
The Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in solving an Upper Keys theft cast.
The female pictured was seen on security cameras stealing a package from the mail room of Summer Sea Condominiums, 88500 Overseas Highway, on Feb. 29 shortly before 5 p.m. The package contained about $110 in beauty products.
The package was clearly marked with the victim’s name and address. The package was also clearly marked with the manufacturer’s name: Ulta Beauty.
Security footage shows the suspect at 4:48 p.m. walk into the mail room. She can be seen looking at packages left on the ground by the delivery companies. The suspects looks at each box and the labels on top of the boxes. A short time later a male subject walks in to check his mailbox. At this time the suspect walks toward a different section of boxes acting while continuing to act like she is looking for her package. At 04:49 p.m. the suspect walks out of view of the cameras. Security footage then shows the male subject walk away and the suspect returning at 04:50 p.m. The suspect immediately grabs the box mark Ulta Beauty and quickly walks away with it.
