2016 International Chef’s Appreciation Week-Key West
Calling all chef’s and people who appreciate what chef’s do!
2016 International Chef’s Appreciation Week is August 14-20.
The City of Key West will present chef’s in Key West with a proclamation that the third week in August is International Chef’s Appreciation Week.
Chef Michael Fahey of Key West Cooking Academy and Florida Keys Regional Manager for the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association’s Regulatory Compliance Services initiated the action to have the chefs of Key West recognized for the daily hard work they do providing the Southernmost City world class cuisine for all of our residents and visitors. The presentation will take place on Tuesday August 16 at 6pm, Chef Michael encourages all area chefs to attend!
As many of you know my hospitality career has been as a chef. My goals in my career were to become Certified as an Executive Chef and to win a medal in culinary competition, check and check. So when I made an inquiry about the International Chefs Appreciation Week, Donald Crutch the organizer of the effort, made some calls and the proclamation will be made on Tuesday August 16 at 6pm at City Hall.
I would like to invite all chefs to the event and join me in accepting the proclamation from the city of Key West!
