Eric S. Martin Presents: History of the National Lighthouse Preservation Act & the History of Light Houses

The Florida Keys Reef Lights Foundation was started in 2001 by Tom W. Taylor, Jerry Wilkinson, Brenda Altmeier, Jim Clupper, Dan Gallagher, Gail Swanson, Hibbard Casselberry and Jack Burrie, to help save and preserve the six reef lighthouses that mark the 3rd largest reef in the world.

The mission includes establishing a regional lighthouse museum and archive; promote preservation; support the United States Coast Guard in the maintenance of these structures and engage in all lawful purposes which will benefit preservation of these lighthouses.

We are looking for people interested in lighthouses and lighthouse restoration/preservation.  People interested in the reef may want to join as well, since the lighthouses also protect the reef (although not built for that purpose).  If you are interested in joining review the site and then click on the membership link.
