Artists in Schools Grant Online Applications due November 30th.

The Florida Keys Council of the Arts invites Monroe County teaching artists and classroom teachers to apply for the bi- annual Artists in Schools Grant program. The online application is available and due on November 30th at: www.keysarts.com.

The Artists in Schools Grant program invites teaching artists in the performing, visual, literary or historical arts into the classroom. Teachers and teaching artists are encouraged to collaborate on creative projects together to enhance the existing curriculum, or to teach a new topic using the ARTS. All Monroe County public and private schools, as well as other organizations that serve children ages 5-18, are eligible to apply. Artist in Schools grants are up to $2,000 each for artist’s time and materials per project.

The mission of the Florida Keys Council of the Arts is to advance the creative development and promotion of the arts in our cultural community by providing excellence in leadership, advocacy, education and financial support for artists, cultural organizations and citizens of Monroe County.
