Crane Point Presents “Astronomy Tonight Program

Marathon, FL (November 18, 2015) – Crane Point Museum & Nature Center presents the third module in the Astronomy Tonight series beginning Tuesday, December 1, 2015. This module is about “Understanding and Capturing the Universe,” an introduction to Cosmology and Astrophotography for lifelong learners ages 21 years and up. The module consists of four weeks. Each week is a three-hour class of lecture, hands-on activities and time under the night sky. No prior knowledge of astronomy or astrophotography is necessary to enjoy this class. The class meets every Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. beginning December 1st and ending on December 22nd. Classes will be held in the Cracker House located at Crane Point Museum & Nature Center. Entrance to the Cracker House is located on the right-of-way near the center of the property. Look for the sign.

Participants should bring a cell phone that has camera capabilities; all other necessary materials will be provided. Cost of the class is $100 if paid before December 1st or $125 on the day of the first class.
