Bonnie Villareal Padron Takes Us Down Memory Lane With Key West Cook Book

Author of Conch Cooking, Island Girl Recipes, Bonnie Villareal Padron shares recipes, stories and photos of growing up Conch in Key West, Florida. A 6th generation Conch who is proud to combine the recipes, stories and photos of her family and extended families growing up.

Bonnie shares many recipes, stories and photos from fellow Conchs and Cubans that are the foundation of what Key West history is about. Growing up Conch meant that family and eating great local dishes went hand in hand. Her vision of combining her favorite childhood memories, familiar and delicious food and Island Girl life has become a reality in this wonderful cook book.

Conchs will see their recipes and photos featured in this book and Conch lovers will get a chance to create some of the delicious dishes that remind them of why they love this wonderful island as their own. She has also peppered in recipes from current day Conch chefs who are part of the great Key West family circle.

Bonnie’s vision of sharing Conch Cooking with “the world” became a reality when the Spanish version was included. Translated by Ana Lina Aguiar, a childhood friend who along with Bonnie shares many Key West memories.

Bonnie Villareal Padron currently resides in Naples, Florida but visits her hometown every chance she gets to visit family, friends and of course get her Key West “fix.
